23 Apr Charity Week
This is a very busy week here for us at Eyewise with all our fund raising activities..
Harsh ran the Marathon last Sunday for the charity VICTA and completed it in a very respectable 4 hours 33 .managing to beat his previous time by 10 minutes. What a fantastic achievement and he has managed to raise over £500 in the Practice alone and there are still more donations coming in and people pledging online.
On Saturday we will be holding our annual Charity Curry Night at All Saints Church Hall. The evening will start with an Indian Dance demonstration which will be followed by a Magic Show.We shall then be serving the food which will consist of a large selection of curries for vegetarians and meat eaters alike accompanied by rice and several side dishes.During the serving of the food the Magician will be going around to each of the tables to entertain whilst people are eating. After the food we have a steel band who will play and sing whilst we all get up and have a boogie and dance of the food. We also be holding a raffle with lots of exciting prizes including a tablet, a storm watch, sunglasses and vouchers for local hairdressers.
The money raised on the night will go to VICTA but also to Michael Sobell Hospice and we hope to have a representative from both of these charities present to say a few words.
So it is never too late to donate to either of these causes just ring or pop into the Practice and we will be only too pleased to take your money from you.
