School Vision – Learning Difficulties
A child’s ability to reach their full potential at school is an obvious and important skill.
Yet, many children do not achieve this and even suffer with problems at school, because of challenges associated with the visual skills necessary to read.
School Vision addresses these challenges.
Specifically, it can improve visual performance when reading by studying how both eyes work together.
Eyewise is proud to be the first opticians in Hillingdon to offer a School Vision Assessment. Following the assessment, spectacles may be prescribed, often in conjunction with eye exercises. Follow-up progress checks are also recommended, as part of a management plan to address the areas of concern.
Once the assessment and treatment are complete, the patient should enjoy:

The Eyewise Schoolvision Care Plan
The Eyewise School Vision Scheme covers the costs of the School Vision assessment, follow up visits and other benefits.
It uses simple monthly payments by Direct Debit. Included within the scheme are:
- All clinical care and assessments
- Repeat visits whenever necessary, planned or not
- Special Eye-care Plan prices on any spectacles that your eye-care practitioner prescribes
- Special discounts on any additional products such as sunglasses
