09 Dec A Most Charitable Year at Eyewise
In our last entry we said we were taking part in World Sight Day Challenge 2015. Our resident optician, Harsh, pledged to give £1 for every sight tested conducted in the month of October, to raise money for Optometry Giving Sight.
This a worthy charity that raises money to provide access to eye care for those living in impoverished countries.
Here’s a reminder of the work that this wonderful charity carry out all across the world.
Our practice recently received the news that we are now holding the Gold Award for this years challenge, after raising a fantastic £210!
Through the Eyewise Curry Night, Harsh’s Great North Run, our Macmillan Coffee Weekend, and finally World Sight Day Challenge, we have managed to support a number of good causes this year, including the Hillingdon Brain Tumour & Injury Group, Vision Aid Overseas, Macmillan Cancer Support, and Optometry Giving Sight .
Your support has helped us to raise over £2500 this year for our chosen charities! This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support of you – our loyal patients, and as always your generosity has made this year into most our most successful ones in terms of charitable giving.
Many thanks once again to all who have contributed towards making this year a success, and here’s to making next year even better!
