2016 is a new year for Eyewise, and with a new year comes new ideas to make sure that you, our loyal patients and customers, are getting the most out of us!
For the months of February and March, we are introducing our new ‘Frame of the Season’. As this is the first season, we have not one, but two designer brands on special offer: the world renowned Chloé, and Lacoste.
Let’s start with a bit of background about our most feminine frames from Chloé. This brand has now been established for 60 years, founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian-born Parisienne. She chose the name “Chloé” for its warm, feminine appeal. Sure enough, Chloé frames all ooze feminine fluidity:
As you can see, they have bold textures and colours, yet these all flow seamlessly to make a timeless, chic and simple frame – something for the young-spirited, confident and carefree woman, be they old, young, a mother, or career-minded individual.

We didn’t want the gents to be left out, so we’re also featuring another frame of the season – Lacoste!
A brand that has now been established for over 80 years, Lacoste is revered worldwide for offering some of the trendiest and most elegant premium casual eyewear for men.
You probably know Lacoste for its famous crocodile logo – the result of a bet made between René Lacoste and the captain of the French Davis Cup Team back in 1923…He was promised a suitcase made from alligator skin if he won a very important match for the team.
Lacoste did exactly that, and from that point onwards, René Lacoste was referred to by competitors as the ‘Crocodile’. His innovative nature is what eventually led to the launch of Lacoste eyewear in 1980.
There are always new colour ranges and fresh looks and shapes being released, such as one of our tortoise shell frames for men (see above image).
